EPE PIC™ Tutor (Kit 870) Ref: EPE PIC Tutor The popular "PIC Tutorial" series was published in Everyday Practical Electronics magazine (March-May 98). This kit accompanies the series. The circuit board has been redesigned to Magenta standards - with printed component layout, and a green solder mask layer. In conjunction with the published material, it enables constructors to learn PIC programming from scratch, working through a variety of built-in demonstrations. It's a really practical hands-on tutorial system especially suitable for absolute beginners, with a focus on hardware interfacing with switches and leds on all input and output pins! Kit includes PIC16F84 chip, all parts, printed circuit board, and software with test and demonstration routines . Optional extras are: UK mains power supply. Zero-insertion force (ZIF) socket (for easy insertion and removal of the pic chip). 2 line by 16 character LCD module. 4 digit seven segment LED display. Suitable display driver software is included in the tutorial. The PIC Tutor is also available from Magenta ready-built to the highest standard and fully tested.
