As published in Everyday Practical Electronics magazine in association with Magenta Electronics, this fun design will provide a simple yet highly effective l.e.d. bargraph display of prevailing wind speed (anemometer). Using a good quality d.c. motor as a signal source, hardly any mechanical skill is needed to construct this project. The Windicator displays approximate wind speeds, from roughly 10 mph upwards.
No calibration is required and the project is very easy and interesting to build. Full constructional details are included with the kit.
